Tourist visas are granted for tourist, cultural trips, attendance to congresses or conventions. They will be valid for 60 days and will be valid for a single entry or for multiple entries.
Beneficiaries may not carry out lucrative activities in Dominican territory.
All citizens of the world may apply for a Tourist Visa for the Dominican Republic at Dominican consular offices.
Requirements
- Contact the Embassy or Consulate closest to your place of residence or designated jurisdiction. This is done in person and by e-mail.
- Complete the Visa form filled out and duly completed in typewriter or in legible handwriting. Available at the consular office headquarters or on the service portal. Download here.
- Visa application letter (Not notarized) signed by the beneficiary or his/her representative, containing name, nationality, place of residence, activity to which he/she is dedicated, economic means and purpose of travel to the country.
- One (1) photograph 4 x 5 centimeters, front view and white background.
- Original passport with a minimum validity of six (06) months.
- Legible photocopy of the Residence Card (if applicable).
- Authorization of the parents or guardian, when it is a minor and the applicant is not the father or mother.
- Documents that demonstrate economic solvency:
a) bank letter(s) of your savings account, passbook, checking account or bank certificates.
b) Labor Certification (indicating your date of entry to the company, position you occupy in the company, salary).
c) Titles of property of your residence, business, farm or land, or vehicle registration if you have them.
9. Dominican visas and visas from other countries in force or expired.
10. Legible copy of hotel reservation or invitation letter with the address information and general information of the person who will provide lodging in the DR.
11. Legible copy of flight reservation (ROUND TRIP) updated to the date of your trip.
12. By the guarantor in the DR:
- Letter of Guarantee duly notarized and legalized in the Attorney General's Office of the Republic, this document must be presented by the applicant along with the other documents the day of your interview at the Dominican consulate, it is essential that this letter of guarantee contains the following clause, so that it can be accepted by our Diplomatic or Consular Mission.
- Guarantee Clause:
"I guarantee that (name, nationality and passport), will not remain in the Dominican Republic longer than the time granted by the General Directorate of Immigration, nor apply for residence or change of immigration status from the Dominican territory, devoting himself exclusively to the activity for which the visa was granted. "I become morally and economically responsible upon return from his country of origin, assuming to pay in favor of the Dominican State any expenses in which said person may incur during his stay in the country, or that originates as a consequence of his repatriation or deportation from the country."

Important:
All nationals of countries with a valid visa or residence card of the European Union, the United States of America, Canada or Great Britain, may enter the national territory of the Dominican Republic with the simple presentation of the Tourist Card (decree 691-07 dated December 18, 2007).

- Approved tourist visa.
- Economic solvency.
