Description of the Service: The legal assistance service, acts for the benefit of employers and workers whose economic situation does not allow them to exercise their rights as plaintiffs or defendants, Art. 427 of the Labor Code, (See Decree No. 377-97, page 234).
To Whom It Is Directed Workers and employers
Requirements The employer or worker who requires legal assistance must go to the Legal Assistance Department so that his case may be assisted by a lawyer, who will have the following functions: Interview applicants for the service with the objective of suggesting the approval or not of their requests. Document service requests to facilitate the decision of the coordinators. Analyzes and studies files of service applicants and prepares claims and briefs for defense. Provides information to users on the status of their case. Attends hearings set by the labor court to hear cases. Submits individual reports on assigned cases.
