National Commissioner for Human Rights (CONADEH) Atlantic Coast Regional Delegation

CONADEH's mandate is to ensure the prevention, promotion, protection and defense of the human rights and fundamental freedoms of the inhabitants, especially those of people in vulnerable situations, by supervising the actions or omissions of State institutions as a whole and private entities that provide public services, in order to ensure that they comply with their human rights obligations. CONADEH, through its 18 departmental delegations and the Human Mobility Ombudsman's Office, provides assistance to the following populations in mobility: 1. Internally displaced by violence. Migrants in transit. 3. migrants in need of protection. 4. asylum seekers. 5. Refugees. 6. Migrants abroad, deprived of liberty or missing. 7. Victims of human trafficking. 8. Returned migrants. Services Attention to complaints of violations of human rights of all persons. 2. Accompanying migrants so that they can file their complaints with the authorities. 3. Arrangements with allies for humanitarian assistance to migrants. 4. Refer to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the request of a party or ex officio, any fact that constitutes a crime against migrants. 5. Constant monitoring at border posts, shelters, migrant care centers and offices of the National Institute of Migration, to supervise the care of migrants and identify cases of international protection.
