Vaccination and health: Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is not required.

Consular visa required. 

Validity of visa: single entry.

Term to stamp the visa in the passport: three months once authorized.

Deadline to enter Costa Rica once the visa is stamped in the passport: it must be used within a maximum period of sixty (60) days.

Maximum stay of up to 30 calendar days extendable up to ninety (90) calendar days.

Documents to be presented:

  1. Minimum validity of passport: 180 calendar days.

  2. Valid passport or travel document. Only machine-readable passports or travel documents will be accepted, in accordance with the guidelines established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and with the validity determined by these guidelines.

  3. Visa, when required as established in these guidelines.

  4. Economic solvency, with a minimum of USD$100.00 (one hundred US dollars) per month or fraction of a month of legal stay in the country.

  5. Ticket, ticket or return ticket to the country of origin or continuation of the trip, or the navigation plan showing the port of destination.

  6. Not to have impediment of entrance to the national territory.
